Our Story

Founded in 2019 by outdoor enthusiasts Sarah Mitchell and Marcus Chen, 6ix Trails Co. began as a passion project to share Toronto's hidden natural gems with fellow city dwellers. What started as weekend adventures with friends has grown into the GTA's most trusted eco-conscious hiking tour company.

We recognized that many Torontonians were unaware of the incredible hiking opportunities within reach of the city. From the Scarborough Bluffs to the Credit Valley trails, our region offers diverse landscapes that rival any destination. Our mission became clear: make these natural treasures accessible to everyone while preserving them for future generations.

Today, we've guided over 5,000 adventurers through Ontario's most beautiful trails, maintaining our commitment to small groups, environmental stewardship, and unforgettable experiences. Every tour we lead strengthens our community's connection to the natural world that surrounds us.

Co-Founder & Lead Naturalist

Sarah's 15-year journey in outdoor education began with a biology degree from University of Toronto. Her expertise in local ecosystems and wildlife behavior makes every tour an educational adventure. When not leading groups, she volunteers with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority.

Marcus Chen

Co-Founder & Operations Director

Marcus combines business acumen with outdoor passion, ensuring every aspect of our operations meets the highest standards. His background in environmental science and project management keeps 6ix Trails running smoothly while maintaining our eco-conscious values.

Elena Rodriguez

Safety Coordinator
